Paddlesports
We might be better known for sailing, but did you know Grassholme can be a fantastic venue for paddlesports, including Stand-up Paddleboarding, Kayaking, and Canoeing? All club members are welcome to enjoy paddlesports on the reservoir.
Paddlesports Membership
We recently launched a Paddlesports membership for those wishing to get on the water on a regular basis but not wanting to dinghy sail. To become a 'Paddling' member costs £75 per member (half the price of an Adult Membership). Benefits include access to the club's six SUPs (four adult - two junior) and four sit on kayaks. Unlike a Day Visitor, you can also launch anytime you want and as many times as you want - so long as you abide by our buddy boating system. You are welcome to bring guests to the club free of charge up to three times a year, and they are permitted to use the club SUPs and kayaks.
Day Visitor
If you only want to use the club less than four times a year, you can be a Day Visitor. This costs £10 per adult and £5 per child for a day. Day Visitors can only visit on a Sunday when a Safety Boat is operating, and must bring their own craft to launch. Club SUPs and kayaks are not available for use by Day Visitors.
Groups
If you represent a larger group (such as the a local youth group) which would like to get on the water, please do get in touch with us to discuss use of the reservoir. As a small club with limited volunteers, you are likely to need to provide your own paddlesports instructor, but we are happy to facilitate water access and potentially the use of club watersports kit - especially for local community based groups. Please use the Contact tab on the main menu above to get in touch.
