Discover Sailing Day

Huge thanks to all of the club members that gave up their day today to help run the "try sailing" event. An enormous effort and you really showed off the club. Give yourself a huge pat on the back and proudly say you have given to the community and done your bit for charity.

Special thanks to Richard H for organising the day and coordinating everything and everyone. The day progressed exactly to schedule and the plentiful scones with a cup of tea was definitely well received - by sailors and helpers alike.

It was great to see the Wanderer out on the water, after some significant refurbishment works. On the refurb work - thanks also to Paul B and Ian for their work on the rib trailer.

To put forward some stats from today, we had 21 booked in; 20 turn up with apologies from the other one called into work; and 1 appear unexpectedly. Mix of age ranges and competency. We are yet to see the final conversion rate but it was certainly sounding promising.

Thank you very much again. Amazing turnout and support for the club.
