Say Hello to the Hartley 12

Meet the latest addition to the club fleet - the Hartley 12.
For some time, the club has had feedback from our adult learner sailors that they struggle sailing the Picos (which are really designed for teenagers) and find the big doublehander Bahias too complex and powerful to use. We've been on the lookout for a solution and we think we've found one!
The Hartley 12 is a very stable and forgiving design. A deep roomy cockpit is kind to the knees and back, while a high boom gives plenty of head clearance. The mainsail can be rolled round the mast to easily reduce the power in the sail. We hope this will be the perfect dinghy for entry and intermediate level sailors.
The boat was picked up from Derby on Monday, and should be tucked up in the boat park this week. So please do come along to the club on Sunday and give it a go!
