In Pursuit

We have had another great day of saiilng. This time it was the Pursuit Series, and we had a good north westerly wind which backed to a westerly and gradually increased in strength as the day went on. By the end F5 gusts were propelling the boats across the water at exhilarating speed. There was a lot of spray around, and some people had a lot of water in their boats. At one time there was also a lot of boats in the water!
Although not racing Sam had a good time in his Streaker until a breakage curtailed his fun, and we also had a big turn out of 'ladies who launch'.
Toby and Imogen, sailing a Feva, won the first race comfortably, and hung on to win the second despite being closed down rapidly by Richard and James in their Miracle.
A big thanks to Mark's sister who baked an excellent fruit cake which was much appreciated at lunch time. Thanks also to Chris and James in the safety boat, and Deborah on the flags.
