Duties
Teesdale SWC is a club that is run by members, for members. We have no paid staff so to enable us to keep the club running we ask all members to volunteer to undertake duties.
It is a great way to meet other club members, to make friends and gain support. It is also a great way to learn and improve your sailing, watching the best sailors in the club can teach anyone something new.
As a new member don't worry - we don't throw you in at the deep end! You'll be partnered up with experienced members to show you the ropes, and we really do appreciate all the help you can offer.
You can read a summary introducing what each duty role involves here (Guide to Club Duties), so you can feel a little more confident in taking on a new role.
How Many Duties?
We generally ask all members to sign up for a minimum of three duties a year. However, if you are a regular sailor, please do consider signing up for more than this.
