Opening Times & Parking
Opening Times
Teesdale SWC is technically never closed from April - November. Club members can always access the club and go on the water using our buddy boating rules.
However, if you want to get on the water when there is a safety boat operating, or when plenty of other members are around, then the following table provides a rough guide to the best times to be at the club.
Saturday | Sunday | Wednesday | |
April - May | No organised activity | 10am - 5pm | No organised activity |
June - August | Safety Boat when training occurring | 10am - 5pm | 4pm - 8pm |
September | Safety Boat when training occurring | 10am - 5pm | No organised activity |
October | No organised activity | 10am - 5pm | No organised activity |
November - March | Closed | Closed | Closed |
If you are intending to sail or paddle on the reservoir on a Saturday when training is occurring, or on a Wednesday evening, it's a good idea to send an email round the club email group or put a post on the Club Facebook Group to let other members know you're going. You might get more members along to join the fun, or potentially avoid turning up when training has been cancelled by the instructor due to unforeseen circumstances.
Parking
Club members can park for free in the Northumbrian Water car park next to the club. The car park is arranged in three levels on the hillside above the reservoir. Most members park on the top level of the car park next to the gate leading to the clubhouse and changing rooms.
When joining the club please ensure you collect a car window sticker of the club logo. Place this in your car so that the Northumbrian Water Rangers know you are a club member.
Visitors to the club should pay the parking charge.
